Selling Partner API and Amazon Ads API

The Opsacta app

Opsacta is an app published by Amazon 360 Inc. for Amazon brands that sell as third-party sellers. With a brand's authorisation, it reads the brand's fee, settlement, inventory, pricing, listing-status and advertising reports, and reports findings per SKU back to the brand.

What it does for sellers

  • Computed price floor. The lowest price each SKU can sell at without losing money, worked out from landed cost, Amazon's fees, ad cost per unit, returns and storage, and recomputed when any of them changes.
  • Sourcing cost. Prepares the Manage Your Sourcing Cost upload from the brand's landed costs, flags new inbound shipments that need an update, and compares reimbursements with landed cost.
  • Ad spend on unsellable products. Flags advertising spend on ASINs that were out of stock or suppressed on the day it was spent.
  • Agency scorecard. A monthly review of advertising performance, built from the brand's Amazon Ads reports.
  • Completion ledger. A monthly record of what was checked, what was found and what was done.

What it writes to Amazon

Nothing. The app does not change prices, listings, bids, budgets or sourcing costs. Any change is made by a person in Seller Central or the Amazon Ads console, by the brand or with the brand's approval.

What it never touches

  • Buyer names, addresses, email addresses or phone numbers.
  • Order-level buyer data. The app does not call the Orders API and does not request any restricted report. Settlement lines include an order ID; the app totals them per SKU and day when it imports them and does not keep the order ID.
  • Messaging. The app never contacts a brand's customers.

It does not scrape Seller Central or automate it through a browser.

Selling Partner API roles, and why

The app requests only standard roles. It does not request any restricted role.

RoleWhat the app reads with it
Finance and AccountingSettlement reports and financial transactions: the fees actually charged and refunds, per SKU.
Amazon FulfillmentFBA inventory, the Inventory Ledger, reimbursements, inbound shipment items, FBA fee previews and storage fees.
PricingYour current offer price and competitive summary, and fee estimates per SKU.
Product ListingListing status, including suppressed listings, and catalog details for your own products.
Brand AnalyticsThe Sales and Traffic report: units, sessions and Buy Box percentage per ASIN.
Selling Partner InsightsThe seller performance report, to monitor account health.
Amazon Warehousing and DistributionInventory held in AWD, so days of cover counts all of your stock.

Amazon Ads API

The app reads campaign, targeting, search term and advertised product reports, budget usage and Amazon's recommendations. A brand chooses the permission it grants. Opsacta asks for view-only access by default, which is enough for every report above.

How a brand connects it, and disconnects it

  • Selling Partner API: the brand's primary account holder authorises Opsacta from a link that opens Seller Central. Access can be removed at any time in Seller Central, under Apps and Services → Manage Your Apps.
  • Amazon Ads API: the brand signs in with Amazon and approves access. The brand can withdraw it at any time from its Amazon Ads account.
  • The brand never shares a password or client secret with Opsacta.

The brand supplies one thing directly: its landed cost per SKU, because Amazon has no API that provides it.

Where the data goes

Data is stored in the United States, separately for each brand, and deleted on a fixed schedule and when a brand leaves. The privacy policy sets out what is kept, for how long, who can see it, and how it is deleted.
